A theme in this book is that the child in you never really leaves. In the book Tom Sawyer, Tom Sawyer lives life to the fullest, I think that Mark Twain is trying to tell us that we can't go through life being afraid, we need to take risks and make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes but when you make a mistake you learn from them.

Sabrina, I agree with your theme live life to the fullest. That is totally how Tom Sawyer lives his life by taking every chance he gets. He is always out on an adventure, and learning new things everyday.

I also agree with your theme, Sabrina because Tom crams every fun thing he can in his short lifetime. An example from chapter 3 is
"He said, 'Mayn't I go and play now, Aunt?'
'What a'ready? How much have you done?'
'It's all done, Aunt.'"
and it supports that thing because all Tom wants to do is play with friends and have fun adventures.

I totally agree with you Sabrina with the "The child in you never really leaves." as a theme, like in chapter 34 he came in the room spilling gold like a little kid. But yet, he manage to act like an adult in the cave.

To live life the fullest, and to live everyday as if it was your last. Tom takes every chance he is given, and never regrets his overall decisions in the end. Tom is always learning, but never teaching. Remember that.

I think a possible theme in this book is that the events that happen to someone can influence their decisions and their actions. I think this because when Tom and Becky were trapped in the crave Tom's maturity and responsibility came out because of the case at hand.

I think that a good theme is kids are very adventurous and imaginative because when kids see something, they want to see things in a different way. An example is when you look at a hand-made bracelet, some kids want to see how it was made.
Tom Sawyer's imagination and adventure runs wild when he thinks,
"That's it! I could be a pirate!" on page 85.

I like how pretty much every single person who posted on here says the same thing; that the theme is live life to the fullest.

I would have to agree, that is a good theme for this book. Tom never has a day in his life when he is not going on some crazy adventure or trying to fake being sick.
